There has been a lot of talk about MonaVie.

Many people have differing opinions as to the facts and figures about MonaVie.

What is MonaVie? Monavie is a nutritional blend of 19 different fruits. The primary ingredient of this nutritional drink is the açai berry from the Amazon Rainforests of Brazil.

The açai berry, a small, purple-black fruit, has a high fat content including oleic acid, palmatic acid, and linoleic acid. It is also rich in antioxidants (anthocyanins) which are 15-20 times higher than red grapes.

That really sounds healthy, doesn’t it?

A study by the AIBMR Life Sciences, Inc. has shown that there was an increase in antioxidant activity one and two hours after ingestion of MovaVie Active and an increase in the lipid peroxidation inhibition as well. These prevents cholesterol from building up in the arteries.

Aside from the açai berry, MonaVie also included banana, camu camu, pomegranate, pear, white grape, nashi pear, acerola, aronia, purple grape, cranberry, passion fruit, apricot, prune, kiwi, blueberry, bilberry, wolfberry, and lychee. The variety of the fruits in the blend is believed to complete more than just your recommended daily serving of fruits!

Sounds too good to be true?
Well, here’s the catch.

Unfortunately, it is a bit of a mystery as to the exact ingredients of the products (such as water) or the percentages of the fruits used in the drink and capsule.

The products are also fairly expensive. One 25 oz. bottle costs $45! If you take 2 oz. twice a day, you will go through a bottle a week!

Now that may sound like a rather costly health investment but then…- it is your health we’re talking about here.

The last thing that concerns many people is the company’s marketing scheme. The company operates on a multi-level selling strategy. Which means you either have to purchase the product from a distributor or you have to become one.
